MBC 2010/2011 AUDITION INFORMATION The Macomb Ballet Company is a non-profit organization, which provides performing experience for talented dancers through the creation of a quality, community-based, classical ballet company while reaching, educating, and enriching the audiences of Macomb County through special performances and formal concerts. The Macomb Ballet Company is for dancers ages 8 - 25. Macomb Ballet Company 1st Audition Wednesday, July 21, 2010 Macomb Center for the Performing Arts 44575 Garfield Road Clinton Twp, MI 48038 Macomb Center 586-286-2141 Registration- half hour prior to each audition Ages 13 - 25 (2+ years of pointe experience, must be 13 years old by January 1, 2011) 4:00 - 5:45pm Ages 12 - 25 (0-2 years pointe experience, must be 12 years old by January 1, 2011) 5:45 - 6:45pm Ages 8 - 11 (must be 8 by January 1, 2011) 6:45 - 7:30pm Macomb Ballet Company 2nd Audition Wednesday, September 1, 2010 Macomb Center for the Performing Arts 44575 Garfield Road Clinton Twp, MI 48038 Macomb Center 586-286-2141 Registration- half hour prior to each audition Ages 13 - 25 (2+ years of pointe experience, must be 13 years old by January 1, 2011) 4:00 - 5:45pm Ages 12 - 25 (0-2 years pointe experience, must be 12 years old by January 1, 2011) 5:45 - 6:45pm Ages 8 - 11 (must be 8 by January 1, 2011) 6:45 - 7:30pm MACOMB BALLET COMPANY AUDITION INFORMATION The audition will be in the form of a ballet class with barre and center work. Audition attire for girls is a solid black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers and hair in a bun. Boys are to wear solid black dance pants, a white T-shirt and ballet slippers. Female dancers who are on pointe should bring pointe shoes for both auditions. There is a $12 fee per audition. The Macomb Ballet Company will be performing The Nutcracker on December 3 – 4, 2010 and Snow White on May 6 – 7, 2011 at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts.
