A program for under-sourced schools throughout our community
Please check back for the 2021/2022 Day at the Ballet application deadline.
Each performance season, the Macomb Ballet Company (MBC) invites local classrooms to attend the ballet free of charge in an effort to reach out to local youth who may not otherwise have the opportunity to be educated in, and enriched by, the world of the performing arts.
Our community-based company performs special daytime matinees for students, seniors and other civic organizations.
Interested under-sourced and underrepresented schools are encouraged to submit an online application to our Executive Board for consideration. Qualifying classrooms must meet a minimum requirement of 60% state funded or free lunch program recipients. MBC will choose an eligible application at random during our February board meeting. Applications must be submitted by email to info@macombballet.org.
The MBC provides study guides upon request to all educators, participating in this program or not. We do hope you consider sharing the arts with your students, assisting us in fulfilling our quest to educate and enrich our youth audience. Take advantage of this wonderful program opportunity and submit your class today!
This program is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
